About The Manor Barn
The barn is over 350years old built in a traditional wooden tythe style, originally used to store wheat and straw. It later became listed as part of a country-wide scheme started in the 1950’s and is now classed as grade II listed, meaning it is of special interest, warranting every effort to preserve it. We strongly feel the agricultural heritage of this beautiful building should not be lost, keeping all original woodwork and beams wherever possible creating a warm and inviting atmosphere without losing the impact of such a colossal barn. It is a powerful reminder of the work and way of life of our earlier ancestors.
Now owned and managed by the current generation of the Banks family the barn has been transformed into a stunning venue, allowing others to enjoy and benefit from this local treasure. Unique in size and splendour, perfect for any occasion requiring that little something extra.
